The End of October Has Come

Happy first day of November! There are 48 days until Bethany's wedding!!! We have this chain in the hall; each link represents a day until the wedding. So each day Bethany rips one off to keep track of days. The chain is getting to short way too fast! I can't believe it, only 48 days!!!

As last night was Halloween our family had the annual tradition of making popcorn balls (I had to make Rice Krispie Treats because I have braces), hiding in the basement from trick or treaters, and watching a movie. It was a lot of fun. Paul (brother-in-law soon to be) came over to watch the movie with us. It was a relaxing day. My sister and I finally got to go trick or treating for the first time. We got in costumes, which were clothespins on our noses (we were dressed up as people who just got skunked) and went around our house and rang the door bell. We had the good effect of waving our hands in front of our faces and making them look like we just ate lima beans (I hate to even look at lima beans). So now I can say that I had the once in my life experience of trick or treating. YAY!!!

There are more interesting things going on in my life that I don’t want to write about because I am just too plane lazy. But tune in next time when there are more “interesting” things. :)

What next? Add on!

Once upon a time a pretty girl stood looking out her bedroom window with a faraway look in her eyes. She was imagining herself a princess standing on a steep hill looking down onto her father's kingdom. Suddenly a strong gust of wind blew through her window and woke her from her dreams. But with the wind came a voice, calling her name. The voice had a deep tone and seemed to be beckoning her. Then all of a sudden she was...

being dragged by the wind that blew into her room. It seemed to wrap around her and pull her out of the window! Her hair whirled around her. She shook with fright . The voice kept calling her name. "Viva, Viva!" it kept saying. Eyes wide with fear, she tried to scream but no sound came! Then, her face grew pale. She couldn't believe her eyes...

It was a palace; white and shimmering in the sunlight. The picture seemed very dim at first, and she could see right through it. The wind kept dragging her towards it. The picture became clearer and clearer. At the same time her bedroom seemed to fade away until it was no more. The voice became louder and louder until it was the only thing she could hear. The wind picked up speed. Viva covered her ears and shut her eyes, but she could hear the voice even then. Suddenly the voice ceased. The wind stopped. Viva looked around, to find that all was changed. She stood on a green hill, rather steep. A few miles away was the white palace, banners flying high. It was all like she had imagined.

Start the Story!

I am trying to think up a really good story to put on my blog. But the only thing I can come up with so far is...

Once upon a time....

What should come next?
Please write the startings of a story and comment it. I would love to see your ideas!

An odd thought

Have you ever wondered what language your first thought was in?
Baby babble, or English?
What do you think?

The Edible Dare

About two weeks ago my two sisters and I had a girl’s night out in our neighbors R.V., along with a few of our friends. Now, how the Edible Dare, as I call it, came about was when we were playing the game 'Last Word'. The category was 'sandwiches' and the letter was "s". Not a lot of sandwiches start with "s", so using my amazing imagination, I came up with the incredible sandwich, sugar beef. Just in time too, for not two seconds after I blurted out "Sugar beef!" the timer buzzed. There was a debate on whether I should win or not because sugar beef sandwiches have not come into existence yet. I protested, basically saying that you could put anything between two pieces of bread and call it a sandwich. So then the dare came off as, I must make a sugar beef sandwich using three table spoons of sugar on it. So two days ago I made a sugar beef sandwich. I only ate three bites before my stomach told me…GET RID OF THIS GROSS GARBAGE IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE!!!!!! I did so. I washed the beef off and ate that, since it was perfectly good beef without sugar plastered to it!

So I can tell y’all right now, do NOT eat three table spoons of sugar on beef between two pieces of bread! In short, don’t eat a sugar beef sandwich.

July 5, 2009

The week went passed very slowly, in a good way. It didn't drag along as some weeks do. We were so busy traveling and stuff that one day seemed like two. As you can guess (and probably experienced for yourself) traveling is a tiring business. We went to Green Bay for one night. My dad had a business trip so my closest older sibling J. Shrimp (or Em as I call her) and my younger brother Unk and my mom tagged along. We watched ‘Lord of the Rings’ on the way there on a mini DVD player. So the first day spent in Green Bay we stopped by Lambeau Field. We didn't go on the field itself, we just looked around at gift shops and other cool looking things. Then we went back to the hotel and swam to our hearts content :). Back in the room we played Apples to Apples. I really like that game. The next day was my birthday! We went to Bay Beach Park. It's a really cool place. It's sort of like a county fair that's there all summer, but without the animals. The tickets are surprisingly cheap. So for seventeen dollars you can stay for three hours hopping on one ride to the next. We arrived at the park at around 10:30 am and we left at 1:40 pm without eating lunch. So when we got to the McDonald's I was starched (so very hungry and really thirsty). I ate a quarter pounder with cheese, and half a large fry. Very unhealthy I know, but so satisfying.

Various other things have been happening. My sister, Bethany, decorated a wedding cake for one of her friends that got married the day after my birthday. There were lots of train rides and dancing.

A few days ago one of my good friends invited us to shop at the mall. I was trying to find a toe ring, but bad luck. (Not that any kind of luck exists) There were some toe rings for an outrageous price of twenty dollars. So with a heavy sigh I passed them up. Someday for sure I will find one cheap enough for my liking . It was a lot of fun shopping for other things though. We went to goodwill for a little while. One of my friends (Kiwi) found a very nice red dress that has a cool Indian looking style pattern on it. It's very pretty on her.

Happy fourth of July, even though I am a little late!
